Cleaning Day
Today the cleaning lady comes to do her job
I must get up and clean so she won't think I'm a slob

Conversation
Often during conversation in my senior set
Have you pre-planned your memorial yet
That can cheer you up you bet
I will do that soon if I do not forget  

Some Days
I didn't find a single golf ball on my walk this morning
Bingo was cancelled in the afternoon
The economy is still sinking according to TV
I know more than I want to know about Obama and McCain
I may just take another walk before the rain

My Day
My day began when I awoke
Had my coffee and worked the daily cryptoquote
I think I am having a very good day
When I walk and find a golf ball along the way
Bingo today at two
Win or lose
It is a very good time to spend
While we are on the mend

Retirement
Retirement is like a long vacation in Texas
At least that is what it was for us
We are now back home in Indiana to stay year round
Assisted Living is the place we found
Not much to worry about except our health and happiness
Our nest egg will see us through I guess

Never Fails
While dining in a crowded lunchroom
You may suddenly hear a catchy tune
Everything gets very still for a minute
While one of the woman digs in her purse in a panic
l know its not my cell phone
I don't even have one

Walk-in Closets
I have always wanted a walk-in closet
In all the places I have ever lived not one yet
If there are none in heaven I hasten to say
I want to go there anyway
